Hello, I just rebuilt my carbs on 1988 115 hp mercury outboard. The problem is it is still leaking at the bottom of the throttle shafts on all 3 carbs. Where can i find new carbs?
Walter

The problem probably isnt bad carbs, the problem is probably that you didnt replace the needles and seats. They normally do not come in the kits and need to be ordered separatly, or the actual float adjustments. Also could be bad floats.

ditto LD... carbs don't go "bad". (v.v. rare)
those holes are there specifically to drain any
excess fuel. when were carbs last R&R?
good luck,
M.Y.

Re: Mercury Carbs

Thanks for the info. I found out the carb floats were not set right and were still flooding out letting excess gas lay inside the carb which let the gas run down the throttle rods. when i got the float levels set right, no gas leaked from the throttle rods.
Thanks again for your help.
