I have a 1985 mercury 75hp. 4 cyl. The lower carb is flooding out during trolling speeds. Does anyone know the proper float and fuel mixture adjustments? Any suggestions would be helpful.
Howdy, John.<br /><br />The proper adjustments will be in your manual, but your problem is probably not adjustment, it is probably a stuck float.<br /><br />Tapping on the side of the float bowl will sometimes get you relief, but a carb overhaul is the only permanent answer that I know of.<br /><br />Good luck.
