I'm thinking about buying a regal rush jet boat with this engine (mercury sport jet 90)but it has one cylinder that the piston rings came apart and damage the cylinder wall as well as the head.
What other damage can I expect once the engine is torn down and what do you guys think it would cost to repair something like, plus what would cause the rings to come part?
