A bit of history first. The motor (boat) is on a remote island without repair services so I have been the repairman and am OK at it but by no means a proffessional . I got some water into the gas (not uncommon on this island) and it got through the filters. At that point the motor would not start. I diagnosed it by seeing a foamy slime come out of the fuel schraeder valves on the fuel rail. I beleive the engine is a 2006 or 2007.
Things I have done:
I have gone through and cleaned the low pressure and high pressure pumps and replaced the fuel injectors. There are good pressures (it appears) on the schrader valves on the rail now and I have a nice mist of fuel coming from the fuel injectors when I crank the engine with the fuel rail removed. Also, the pressures hold fast for quite awile after cranking engine.
I have good spark to the plugs, although I plan on replacing them on my next trip down.
I need to take down any parts that I think I may need or I have no boat for another 4 months. Any suggestions and advice is greatly appreciated.
