hi i have a mercury 9.9 serial # 0B324116 with the quicksilver throtle i put this on a 12 foot flat bottom boat and when i give it full throtle<br />it gos for abought a 100 feet then dies if i keep it choked.it will stay running but i cant get the full speed out of it and is the mixture 50:1 i read in previous messag it might be the jet needle i cant find the year thank you sbreide471@msn.com

Hi, Yogi.<br /><br />Your symptoms sure sound like it is running out of fuel.<br /><br />Check you fuel pickup in the tank, fuel lines, primer bulb, filter and fuel pump.<br /><br />When my son had the identical symptoms we found that the fuel hose was pinched by the bilge pump and after it was pumped up by the primer the fuel pump couldn't suck any more fuel. It ran out in just about 100 ft.<br /><br />Let us know what you find.<br /><br />Good luck.
