Mercury 8 gas tank

I purchased a boat with a mercury 8 and no gas tank. Where do I get a tank with the hose and fitting for it.

A red plastic tank can be found anywhere. At the iBoats store or WallyWorld

Same with the hose, get a universal hose with a splashless adapter. It will have a quick disconnect on one end and a bulb. What is the serial number of the motor to find what connector you need on the other end?

The serial# is OD025392. Thank you for the help.
Also, I do not know how to operate it. Is there an owners manual available?

maybe you should take the boaters safety course.

2 strokes Tohatsu 8 HP model should be same if the Merc happens to be a rebadged OB, can download an Owner's Manual at :

Yes scott danforth i have[ owned several boats, never a 2 stroke outboard, don’t know how to operate it.
