I am about to buy the third rectifier. I am getting from 12 to 17.9 volts depending on rpm as reflected on my Garmin fish finder.(right before it shuts down). I checked voltage at the battery with a Radio Shack analog voltmenter, while I was under-way and confirmed it. I have repaired some of the wires that were cracked or deteriorated. I just replaced the rectifier and I either blew it up this first time out or it was a bad one (I did not check it before I installed it). This is according to the tests I performed with my voltmeter on the rectifier, as it says to do in the Clymer Manual I have. Any input is appreciated.
