Mercury 650 Thunderbolt

Hi<br />I have just bought an old boat with a Mercury 650 Thunderbolt. I wounder how old the engine is, my boat is from the 80's. Does anyone know which years those engines were made?

add your motor serial # on here and someone will tell you the year. if it runs good keep it, i have a 1967 650 thunderbolt and i love it so much i took off a 1988 force and now running my 650, sweet and smooth, MERCURY!

Ihave a "68" 650 and can't bring myself to buy a newr motor,this thing will idle all day without missing a beat and they sound cool when you open her up,great engines to this day.<br /><br /> PROPWASH.
