Lets say you buy a boat and that boat comes with 2 motors. 1 is a merc 150 hp outboard w/clean title. The other is a 65 hp mercury outboard with no title. If you were 100% sure that motor was not stolen that it just did not have a title what would you do with it. It seems like a waste of a good motor to just leave it sit in the shed because it has no title. I am not sure of the age of the motor but it is probably not more than 10 or 15 years old.

I would use it.
Or sell it if I had no use for it.
If it would make you feel better, get a title for it.

I tried to get a title for it and the title office told me that aquiring a motor with no title is against the law and they would not help me get a new one in any way.
