Mercury 6 hp 4 stroke oil leak from silencer air?

Hey, I am new to outboard. I bought a used Mercury 6 HP 4 stroke motor and used it 2 times so far. Every time after use, I saw some oil under the engine in the cowling. I checked around and it seemed oil was leaked from the silencer air (see the attached picture, you can see the oil in the silencer air bottom). Is this normal? can I fix it? Thanks.

Does that motor have any kind of PCV system? If so, I would suspect that as being the cause.

I am new to boating. I checked the parts list online of this 2003 Mercury 6 HP motor but did not find it has pcv (Positive Crankcase Ventilation).

Maybe the oil leaking from the motor is splashing around and being sucked into that intake? Maybe you should be more concerned with fixing the leak? Are you checking the motor oil level? Don't get sidetracked and let your motor burn up.
