Re: Mercury 50hp Serial Number...What year model?
Awesome, thanks....PM will be inbound shortly....I was told 95 or 96 when I bought it a couple years ago. It's been a great little motor with only minor issues that I've fixed for very little cost.
It had Champion L78V Spark Plugs in it, and I just swapped those out with NGK BP8H-N-10, after doing some research and discovering that the L78V's were not the correct plugs for this motor. It was jumpy when idling and I think the new plugs have helped with that (just going off of back yard testing). I'm hoping to run it this weekend to see if I notice any other performance changes.
I'm going to start another thread for an oil injection issue I'm having.
