Mercury 50hp 1978

I was checking out and my motor and noticed one of the bolts holding starter in place was loose.
I tried to tighten it but it seems to be stripped?

Any thoughts on a quick fix

Quick? No ideas.

Correct? Yup, can do.

Drill out the stripped hole. Then thread the new hole for the next size larger bolt.

You may need to enlarge the hole in the starter mount as well.

A jury rigged "quick" fix will cause you grief in the end.
