my engine will run but my prop does not turn what could be the problem<br />

Need more info, Ranger.<br /><br />This is both forward and reverse?<br /><br />Is there any click or clunk when you move shifter?<br /><br />Let us know.

engine runs like it always has no abnormal sounds when put into gear prop just doesnt turn. when engine is off prop torns freely by hand. no prop in forward or reverse

I'm not an expert and I do not know what it is called but I had this problem. The bushing thing in the prop was bad and needed to be replaced ($40). You can check if it is bad by turning the prop by hand and looking to see if the shaft stays in place while the prop spins.
