Hi All
I have an old Mercury 2 cylinder 4hp that is causing my some problems.
If starts up and runs at speed but just will not idle.
I have cleaned the carb out and checked the plugs etc but no real improvements.
Could it be low compression or some other wear related problem.
One thing I am not sure about is the roll of the small pipe that runs from a plate between the carb and the read valves to the bottom of the crank case. When I remove this pipe from the carb and and try to blow or suck on it I cant as it appears blocked solid.
