mercury 35 no power at full throttle

motor runs fine at idle. runs fine at 1/2 throttle but can't get power to full throttle, acts like it stays at 1/2 throttle what could be the problem, cleaned carb out and still it's no better. can anyone suggest what i could do to fix problem. help thank you

Two thing the high speed jet or the timing.<br />It could be starveing on fuel.<br />Check to see if the butterflys are wide open<br />in the carbs. That would be the second set or butterflys. That would be the first thing<br />I would check.<br />It might be the fuel pump that can not pump <br />enough gas to the engine. If that so you <br />could do a lot of harm to the engine.<br />I do not remember who it was but they<br />said when they took the cover off the engine<br />they said it run great.<br />ASK J.C.
