I've got a 2000 Mercury 3.3 that I have no manual for. The carburetor has an adjusting screw on the right side that I thought was the idle mixture adjustment. The engine was running a little rough at idle so I thought I'd try and adjust this screw to the normal idle setting. I was goint to start turning the screw in until the RPM started to drop off then back it out a half turn or so. When I turn the screw in the RPM just keep going up until the screw is bottomed on the spring. Is this an idle RPM adjustment or a idle mixture adjustment? If its a RPM adjustment is there any idle mixture adjustment? Thanks for any help. JC
