Mercury 25hp timing and synchronization

I need step by step procedure for timing and synchronization on a mercury 25hp S#0D279153 (1994??) the service manual that i have show total different linkage and throttle cam, The pick up timing is what i am concerned with because of the different throttle cam.

My 1994 mercury service manual shows different linkage and throttle cam adjustment. For some reason the ignition specs. change in the middle of the year because the manual states "up to 1994 1/2". My serial # search comes back as 1994 model??? (Confused) any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.
