Hi. I am working on a Mercury 25 ELPT 4S that won't start. I have replaced the keyed ignition switch and the main relay. The original keyed switch seemed sticky and unreliable. The main relay was not switching.
I am not getting 12 volts to the keyed ignition switch from the main relay. Simultaneously, the trim no longer functions.
I have 12 volts at the main relay from the battery. I can jump the 12 volts to the main relay and the starter will turn and the engine will start and run. I can kill it either by the lanyard safety kill switch or by the keyed ignition switch. I have continuity from the keyed ignition switch to the relay switching input (yellow-red). So, all I need is 12 volts ti the keyed ignition switch and I should be able to start using the keyed ignition. What am I missing and is there a schematic out there that'll help? I'll tackle the tilt after I get it running.
Thanks,
J
