I just bought a used 2.5HP model from 2012 and I'm having an issue where the motor will start (a little reluctantly) and can maintain idle, but it won't let me rev it at all. When I advance the throttle it runs very slightly faster and a lot rougher. Sometimes it just dies. This happens in neutral or when it's in gear. I've changed the gas. I've changed the plug (3 times). I've removed and checked the carb for obvious gunk, stuck float, etc. it looked perfect to my untrained eyes. This is a pretty simple system, but it's not working and I don't know what else to try. By the way, the previous owner stated it had 3-4 hours of use and visually it seems to line up. This thing looks brand new. It was also running when I bought it but has never worked right since I brought it home. We transported it on its side (the right side!). Any ideas?
