Mercury 1999 25 hp 2 stroke MAX RPM's?

I want to tape on a red line with thin piece of red tape on my daughter's new tac so she or someone else driving it knows to stay below that red line.

I can't locate the manual at the moment nor does merc's site from what I can see let you down load an old manual.

Can anyone look in their merc 2 stroke 25 hp manual and let me know the specs for max RPM with their OEM prop on it.

My 40 is a 4 stroke and I think it's around 5500 without looking, but it's a different outboard.

According to the book WOT should be 5000-6000 RPMs. If it is propped properly you shouldn't exceed 6000.
