Can anyone tell me why I might be only getting between 10-11 volts when I turn on my key to the accessory position on my boat? I have new batteries installed and everything looks good! I have an onboard battery charger that I have set to turn on for a couple hours everyday to keep the batteries charged to full and its working fine. There has to be a power draw somewhere that I am missing when I turn the key on and read the voltmeter? Has anyone else experienced this phenomonon? Maybe its supposed to be this way, but for a peace of mind Id like to hear from others.

Double check the voltage with a multimeter. May be the gauge is off.

Deaer bh,

I bought a new gage, but when the onboard charger is on the volts come up to 12volts with the ignition key turned to on. Dont think it is the accuracy of the gage.
