Mercury 15m 4s and battery charging

This is a brand new Merc 15m outboard. Does anyone know what parts, if any, are required to charge a 12 volt battery from the subject motor. From the sales brouchure I thought it would be a just a plug in. The owners manuel does not cover the subject. Want it to top off a battery for an electric motor and for depth sounder.


Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Mercury makes a kit with the charging coils and rectifier and wires in it, for the small engines.
