I have a mercury 15hp that backfires and blows a puff of white smoke while idling and even at WOT. I notice than when i let it run with the choke on it get a little better but its still bad. Does anyone no why this happens? How to fix it? I have a carb rebuild kit for it, is this the time to use it?-thanks
