Mercury 15hp Not Starting No Spark

I have a 15hp Mercury 2stroke serial number 0C114512. Have had it 3 years and no issues. Tried to start it today and nothing. Hasn't been started since last summer. Doesn't appear to have any spark. Tried a new plug in both plug wires and nothing in either. The stator shows resistance between both wires and each wire to ground. Is this the problem or is that normal?

Where is the best place to start?

Thank you very much for any help.

Start with the kill switches disconnect the black wire yellow stripe from the cdi. You will have to use the primer to shut it down.

I did try disconnecting the kill switch. Didn't seem to make a difference. I pulled the flywheel off and everything looked good. Still thinking possibly the stator but hate to spend the money if that isn't the issue.

My 2 cents, from your post "Tried to start it today and nothing. Hasn't been started since last summer. Doesn't appear to have any spark. Tried a new plug in both plug wires and nothing in either. The stater shows resistance between both wires and each wire to ground"
so is the motor cranking?
If not check your battery first is your battery charged?
Remove the starter and bench test it, if the starter is good the starter will spin
here is a good video on checking a cars starter same theory with the boat starter

My 15hp Mariner was a complete **itch to get going this season loaded the boat, and fishing partner drove 30 miles to the lake launched it and nothing motor wouldn't start, trolling motor not working, nothing nothing nothing, now this motor was siting for at least 10+ years, yah I know waste of a good boat, but I was over seas and the boat was state side, well by way got it home checked all the things you have and nothing would start it, no spark no nothing it was enough to request help in finding a part to add an electric start onto it lucky did find that part, but in the mean I soaked the Carb really good, replaced the spark plugs, disconnected the shutoff button, new fuel in the tank and let sit over night and two pulls on the rope and started right up. Ready for the Lake
