Mercury 15hp 2 stroke fuel mix

Hi I'm new to this so forgive any new person errors!

Just bought a 2004 Mercury 2 stroke and was told by the seller that it takes 100:1 mix. All the manuals I have seen say 50:1. I am inclined to go with the manual am I correct? Will running the higher concentration cause any damage if the seller is correct?

GeorgeSalmon is correct, 50:1

And for clarification, 100:1 is actually 1/2 the concentration, not higher! It represents 100 units of fuel to 1 unit of oil. The correct concentration is 50 units of fuel to 1 unit of oil.
