Two guestions, should I replace the thermostats if psi is a little high (impellar 1 year old) and what could be the issue if after I stop and fish for a few minutes, motor will not start unless I prime the bulb. I have replaced the primer bulb and fuel diaphragm but did not solve the issue.

what is "high"? t-stats don't necessarily cause pressure changes.. at least not enough ta really notice unless ya concentrate on lookin' at tha gauge without blinkin'....excessive pressure is usually caused by a "restriction" of some type.....

"new" doesn't always mean "good" nowdays either...'specially with tha crap gas goin' 'round... not just tha corn gas either....for some reason, I've seen ona coupla other boards, this is happenin' with a lotta carb motors with some of tha "name mechanics" recommendin' pumpin' it at "every restart"...I've not experienced it myself.... but I use 'lectric pumps 90% of tha time......
