Hi all,

Started the motor earlier just to check everything was ok to take out tomorrow.

Started fine the first time and I thought i'll check it starts back up OK.

Starter motor is engaging and spinning the flywheel about 3 times then disengaging and spinning...

Any ideas?

Thanks
Rob

Check that your battery is fully charged it sounds like the solenoid is dropping out on you under load.

hmm, would the starter still be spinning if the solenoid was dead?

Yes it could still turn the starter without the being engaged into the flywheel. It takes very little to spin the starter at slow speed but ut has to push hard enough to kick up. That is what I meant "dead Battery" sorry I was thinking it but didn't spell it out for you.
