mercury 150 hp revs uncontrollably at start

2001 150 hp 2 stroke revs extremely high at start. Ran fine a month ago. Hooked it up to fresh water rinse to test beforw going back out to lake and problem started. Carburetors look clean. Vacuum hoses look good. Linkage seems fine.

did you have to crank it for a while to get it to start. during the cranking did you keep the key pressed in adding extra fuel?.

Did it just start doing this? What is idle speed, after warm up? Are carbs closed all the way when motor is set to idle?

Guys, thanks for responding. My bad, I did not see the bottom set of carbs are not closing. I think I am good to fix this now that I know the problem!
