I am installing a trollmaster throttle control on my 15 horse power efi mercury kicker motor. I need switched power for the install, and by far the easiest wiring routing is to get switched power from the motor itself. Is it ok to tap into the igntion wire on this motor? Or will this cause unwanted feedback to the motor computer?

A little bit of an update on this, I have not been able to find switched power anywhere on the motor. Everything I find has 12 volts all the time. Right by the main connection on the front of the motor, I did find a plug that I believe is for an accessory relay harness. I didnt find any switched power there, but im wonder if I get the accessory relay harness, I will be able to get switched power from that.

Cant seem to find the accessory harness I need, does anybody know where I might find one? Or has anyone succesfully found a different source of switched power on the outboard?
