Mercury 115hp - 2 stroke....Cannot get full throttle speed

I have a mercury 115hp 2 stroke...I went out yesterday on the ocean and I am not getting full throttle speed...The engine is running smooth, but the most I can get out of it is 10 to 15 mph...Usually I can get 35mph with this engine......Can anyone help me figure out what is wrong with the engine ?.....Engine starts up right away and runs smooth

Someone told me that it might be the primer ball, as it is not getting hard when I squeeze it...And it could be sucking air when i give it full throttle...I will be buying one in a few days

Well, we are going to ask for the year (or serial number), and for you to take a compression test. Also, post a picture of the spark plugs so we can look for issues.

Also gonna ask if you have verified spark during cranking and while running.. While running a inductive timing light will work best..
