mercury 115 problems PLEASE HELP!!!

well i have a 83 mercury 115 with the power trim. When ever i try to go up or down all it does is click. i cleaned all the conections. try to baypass the synolid. i tried to tap it while somebody hit the power trim motor and nothing happened!! please can somebody help me!!!!

yes the battery is brand new and fully charged and the connections and wires are brand new

i had same problem,, i took off the top cover on the pump motor and jiggled the brushes and sprayed with WD40 and it started working ,,,, hope it works for you

ok i will try that tomorrow and see what happens and how many screws oare on the top cover of the motor because i am only able to get to 3

yes i got it, i had to take the whole engine off and everything but i got it. all i had to do was clean the armature and the brushes were stuck so i cleaned them and it worked like it is brand new so thank you for all the help!!!!
