what is the spark plug gap setting for a 1989 100hp mercury? And for this engine how often should change the plugs.

Just a thought, 91 merc 2 cycle motor does not have a gap to set. These are unusual looking plugs<br />make sure of the plug you need, if you put in plug with electrode you could damage piston due to clearance issue.

Byrdog,<br /> 1989-93 70 HP thru 90 HP use gapless L78V. !00 and 115 HP use NGK# BPH8H-N-10 and gaps .040".
