It sounds as if you have lots of power there. If the acceleration is poor, try starting on two skis. Almost any boat can pull up a skier on two skis. The hardest part, especially if on one ski, is trying to hang on until the boat builds enough speed to keep the skier on top of the water.

I would think that getting up would be the easy part. What is the wake like behind a 31 ft boat?

My wake is gigantic!! Its gonna be a good time:D..... the fuel dock, however, is not such a good time with twin 220 gallon tanks..... but anyway, heres the issue.... my son learned how to ski, got good, and now wants to do it with our boat. He wants O'Brien Celebrity Combo Skis. So i just don't wanna go buy $250 dollars worth the ski gear and find out my boat can't do it. You think i should just go for it??

Borrow some skis/rope from someone first. Many watersports shops will let you try out skis if you intend to purchase them. It's worth a shot. If nothing else, you can usually find a cheap used pair on craigslist or ebay to give it a shot before you buy new stuff.
