Why would I be able to lift the sterndrive up easy when in the down position with these older drives. it has a check valve in place to keep from drawing from the reservoir. this is the one hose cylinder not the up and down hoses.. also it has one hose to from the pump to the cylinders. serving both up and down.
also a second line comes out of the bottom of the pump and disappears into the sterndrive going through the transom plate. where does it go? 1970 type 1
