Background: Bellows were leaking, gimbal bearing was bad, and port side trim switch was missing on 92 stingray with a mercruiser 3.0, alpha 1 gen 2. I bought a new trim sending and limit switch kit and took everything apart. Once I got inside the boat I started tracing the wiring to reconnect it. It appears the wiring for one switch is going toward the driver console, and the other goes toward the port side where the battery is located, both in blind wiring harnesses. Once I traced the set moving toward the battery and found where the wires exit the harness, I found the wires cut. They are just generic, black, lamp cord style wires and I have no idea where to connect them. The set that goes toward the driver console disappear in a thick bundled wiring harness as well. While I could disassemble the entire harness to trace the wiring, I may find the same situation and it would be really nice if someone could give me a heads up on where these wires go so I can make the connection and zip tie them externally. Any help would be appreciated, and pictures would be especially nice if anyone has the time to snap a shot of their unit. Thanks in advance.
