Mercruiser sterndrive 120 head gasket

head gasket gone. need to know if head from late modle chev will fit? That way I can run unleaded fuel. My boat is a 1969 Glaspar flying V-175. please let me know, The engine is a inline 4 cyl.

Check with machine shop, may be able to install hard seats.

The motor is (I believe) a 153 cubic inch (2.5 liter)Chev block. I would imagine a head from a GM block, automotive or otherwise, would work. I'd check with a NAPA or similar parts house that sells both auto and marine supplies and see if the part #'s for replacement bits is the same.<br /><br />------------------<br />Fish on! FISH ON!
