First of the engine is a 2013 Mercruiser 5.0 MPI with a Bravo3 drive and 150 hours.
-When the boat has been sitting for the week it starts right up
-When the boat has been sitting over night after running the day before it starts but takes a few cranks of the engine to get going
-When the engine is running then stopped for about 20 min to say pump out or fill up with gas its a b!tch to start again. It will start again but it taks about 10 min of messing with it. Cranking it with the throttle WOT (not in gear) cranking it with the throttle back in the normal position etc. During this the engine will start to smell like gas. When she does crank back up the throttle is in the WOT position. The engine reves up and I put it the throttle back in the normal position.
In any situation once the engine starts she runs fine. No misses, rough idle or anything like that and I can run her for hours on end as long as I don't stop the engine. There is however a large puff of black smoke.
I have run several tanks of gas through the boat and replaced the filters.
Ideas, thoughts?
