I have a '79 Criss Craft with a Merc 898 305 I/O. We replaced the shift throttle control w/ trim. The control works great 1) when a spare set of cables are attached the cables move correctly, and 2) when attached to the boat cables they move correctly.<br /><br />However, when the cables are then re-attached to the engine area, the throttle cable moves the hingy thingy to the carb, but the shift cable doesn't do sqwat. Seems frozen.<br /><br />Not sure if it is a frozen part, needs adjustment, or just TLC. Any ideas?<br /><br />Regards to all and Tight Lines.....
