Mercruiser Pre Alpha transom assembly

I got a 1980 Chris Craft Catalina 25 I’m re doing, getting in to the bellows stuff now & these parts are old. I need the rubber grommet that goes inside around the brass tube that’s held in with the plate and 2 bolts. Anyone have a part number for that ? Thanks

Are you talking about the water tube? At some point that got superseded to a plastic part... I'd swap to that if you wet store as they did all eventually rot out. If it is the water tube some are 5/8 and some 3/4. The 5/8 parts (bushing, plate, etc.) are NLA if memory serves too.

Yes the water tube, now I’m wondering if maybe the new style could work. I have all the it’s & bits for the new style

its #29 in the parts link in previous post - note there are two different ones depending on if you a V8 or inline engine
