mercruiser oil pump

I have a 1973 18ft. starcraft ss with a 120 hp I/O. Can someone tell me what my oil pressure guage should read. Also, shouldn't it fluctuate between low idle and higher rpm's while running. Thanks in advance.

i have same boat mine reads 20 @ idle to 40 @ 3800 rpm, but i just got my gauges working and thought that was al ittle low and was going to try to find another gauge to test. ran boat all last week and never changed temp was 140-160. post a pic for me of your dash and engine.

i also have the same boat and get about the same readings when warm. When i start her up cold i get almost 40psi
