Mercruiser MCM190

[Firewood]

I tried to get some as much info as I could off this motor. Everything seemed to be on the valve cover. Model MCM190<br />224 CID, serial# on valve cover A436367.<br /><br />I'm having a tough time figuring out what year this motor is. Or even roughly what year it is. Also the outdrive had a serial# on it A445200.<br /><br />Any help is greatly appreciated.

That's just it the guy that has it knows zip about it. It was his fathers boat, who died and now its just sitting in his yard. I struck a good deal on it. He thinks his father repowered the boat in the late 80's or early 90's. The boat has been sitting since 93'. I thinks the motor was barely used since his father was ill.Sounds like your info is fairly accurate. I wanted to bring the boat home this past weekend but the axels on the trailer are looking rather rough. Its only 15 miles away but I don't want to risk it. When I have it sitting in my driveway I can examine it closer.<br /><br /> And yes it is does have a heat exchanger on it and power steering.
