Mercruiser Inboard Tune-up: What ignition conversion kit do I use?

I'm going to start gathering the parts to do a Tune-up on my Century Inboard but I need some help determining the specific parts I need. The Mercruiser service manual doesn't give me any part numbers for the distributor and I'm looking at purchasing a conversion kit to eliminate the points.

Engine: 1980 (454 cid) Mercruiser MIE 330 S/N 5652430

The service manual shows a Mallory distributor for this engine model, but it does not provide any model number or specifics for the distributor. I've seen kits available to convert the points system over to electronic, but they do not list this engine specifically. They just say GM V8 or Mallory V8 distributor, and some list a specific YL/YD Cap...flat or stack. I'm not familiar enough with the different caps to know what I need...I believe mine is a stack cap...but not sure?

Can someone provide me with part numbers for the cap, rotor, points, and condenser or tell me which conversion kit I need based on the limited information I have? I don't see one listed at i-Boats for this motor.

Will this one work for me: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MAA-9-26904/

Thanks Taho....that clears it right up. I definitely have the stack cap! Now.....are there different versions/models of that cap....wasn't sure what the YL/YD stuff is all about..... Or is that the same thing as flat vs stack?

Ended up not doing the conversion kit and just replaced Cap, Rotor, Points, Condenser, and Plugs. Reset the timing and wow....gained 200-300 rpm on an engine I thought was running well....the points were very worn. Napa had everything in stock!

Also ran a compression check and all cylinders were 130-140 psi on an engine with almost 1100 hrs. Ready for the big weekend to kick off the season!
