Hello all, I am new to this forum and the problem I am having is that I have a hydraulic leak in my tilt and trim, there is no visible leak but about every 5th time I go out I have to fill the fluid level back up. This is a mercruiser outdrive. any ideas? Jason, just8959@bellsouth.net

I have the same problem either the fluid is gone or its milky I know the milky is from water but should I replace the trim cylinders or is it from the steel braided line I check to see if they were loose they were not ps I'm also new at boating but an x car mechanic

In both cases, it's probably your trim hoses. On shore, dry them and the run the unit up and down and see which is leaking. They'll also suck water in and hence your milky fluid.
