I am getting ready to change out bellows, hose, gimbal bearing etc... on my B ez shift (Serial #
2062609
and looking for help on how to proceed removing the hinge pins. Has a threaded center hole and a small pin hole just to the right that might be some sort of release or ??? Have got a 1 inch bolt that thread matches hole. Manual says to remove pins, but not anything about the how's.

First push the the gimbal ring all the way to one side. To straighten out the forward tip of the small pin get a small chisel and with a hammer gently tap the forward end of the small pin. Hopefully it is not corroded in the bore. If the pin does appear to be loose grab the head with a pair of pliers to pull it out. Then you can back out the large pins by using the threaded bolt you mentioned. The last thing you do not want to do is shear the small pins off by driving the large pins inward. The newer replacement pins are slightly larger and you will have to drill the holes larger. I always coated the pins with Never Seize on installation.
