In short, I am helping a friend install a rebuilt motor into his boat ... the boat was purchased motorless. The motor is a GM 350, 5.7L small block with the Rochester 4MV carburetor. We have purchased and installed the mercruiser exhaust manifold with the center outlet and the corresponding 3" exhaust elbow.

What we are missing are the coolant supply to the manifold and elbow and we do not know what these are. I imagine that there is a thermostat housing with a large inlet from the water pump and a smaller inlet from the intermediate housing (these are the hoses that we have). There must also be four outlets to the two exhaust manifolds and the two exhaust elbows (these are the hoses that we do not have). It would be great to have part numbers for the thermostat housing and the four hoses to the manifolds/elbows. In addition, if anyone could send pictures of their system, that would be a tremendous help in case we have to fabricate our own.

Thanks!

BD

Re: Mercruiser Exhaust Manifold and Riser Cooling

Not nearly enough information. Like year of orginal engine, Lots of changes of the years, are you using other parts from that Mercruiser engine? (assuming it is a Mercruiser) what drive do you have Alpha, Bravo, TR .... Other????
There are lots of parts break downs online, just need to know what for.
