The original seawater pump on my boat was the multi piece housing type and has been converted to the one piece plastic type. I am looking to get an extra impeller to carry on board in case. Are the impellers between the two the same?

I *think* they are the "same' but if I was going to try to use one, I would check the part numbers to be sure.

In case someone runs across this thread later, they are the same. I looked up part numbers for the impeller itself between different housings and they are the same. Now I have my spare on board.

thumper, As you now know they are the same. The later/newer model brass impeller housings use a different impeller part number though. The shaft size on the later brass models is smaller then your older model pump.

HT32BSX115, knowing you have the Hardin marine stainless water pump on your boat now, you would utilize the same impeller as thumper. Part number 47-59362T1.
