I just picked up a can of engine tuner that I was planning on using, not for any particular reason of poor running or anything like that. I figured it couldn't hurt and might make some improvements. My question is, I will be going out of town on a week long fishing trip. I was going to use the tuner tonight before I leave and figured I'd let it sit until I arrive at destination tommorow, then blow it out on the water. Should I wait until after my trip, because I don't want to have to change plugs until the end of the season. I noticed many posts relating to this tuner that says to change the plugs after using this stuff. Will i be okay using this the tuner now and not changing my plugs or should I really wait until I'm ready to change plugs?

I know, I know, be patient; but I'm leaving here shortly and would like your proffessional advice. Should I wait or doesn't it matter about the plugs. Thanks and sorry for being impatient

I don't know about your decarb product, but I just bought mine from the Mercury dealer it is called "Power Tune". It says only let it sit for 15 minutes. I think there is a good reason for that. I think it's going to be really hard on the plugs. You might want to wait.

The stuff I bought say's to let it sit for 3hrs-16hrs and makes no mention of plug fouling. I believe it's an OMC product called Nautic-pro

It sounds like the product might work well for what you want to do. I think as long as you follow the instruction, you will be fine. I can't tell for sure about the plug foul, you will just have to give it a try. Good luck, have a great trip.
