Mercruiser Carb float settings

Engine is a 1996 5.7 LX Serial # 0F787870, looking for the correct float settings. Documentation supplied with rebuild kit states different values (11/32 in one place and 7/16 in another) in different places, ??????

I am fighting a hard start when hot condition due to flooding, i have been advised that the plastic floats can saturate w/ gas and can cause problems using factory settings.<br /><br />good luck
