I have a 19 ft caravelle bowrider with V-6 mercruiser i/o motor. Where does the battery charging wire (from the voltage regulator) connect with the battery? My battery went dead on the second boat outing after the marina installed a new battery. When I looked at the battery, the main (large) black and red cables were connected to the battery. But I also noticed smaller red and black wires that were not connected to the battery (the wire ends looked like they were designed for battery connection). I hope these unconnected wires are the reason the battery lost its juice (ie. didn't get charged). Thanks in advance for any help to dysfunctional boat owner.
