Mercruiser 6.2 Water Pressure Issue

I have twin 6.2's inboards and generally all is well. I have an issue with the port side engine where the water pressure issue averages .6 psi at idle; the starboard engines is 1.5. I have noticed excessive exhaust from the water exhaust through hull and intermittent dirty water - well dirtier than usual. Also, after rpm's around 3000 and quick throttle down water is delayed coming out and exhaust is louder. Any suggestions?

if its a true inboard, not an I/O. I would guess it has some kind of sea strainer grate covering the outside of the water pick up under the boat., and also a catch strainer/filter thing inside?

I would check where the water comes in underneath the boat for something clogging it, barnacles etc. Work your way up to the raw water pump, if you don't find anything then replace your water pump

Yes, they are true inboards. I have checked the strainers and "blew" them out using an air gun - lots of bubbles out of the bottom. Any suggestions about the dirty water in the exhaust?

I agree 100%. It would also help when you have problems to at least give a year of your engine. Better yet the SN. They aren't all the same.
